Lash Extensions
Eyelash extensions are individual synthetic fibers that are meticulously bonded to your natural lash with a semi-permanent adhesive. Something to keep in mind is in order to have lash extensions, you do need to have a decent amount of natural lashes. This is because we need to have a natural lash to glue the extension onto. Whether you’re getting married or wanting to simplify your routine, we proudly offer 3 different types of Lash Extensions at Tami’s Salon and Spa, so let’s take a look at which would be right for you!
Classic Lash Extensions
Classic lash extensions are timeless. They are ideal for clients who have a good amount of natural lashes who are going for a subtle, elegant, everyday look. Think of a mascara-like enhancement without being overly dramatic.
Hybrid Lash Extensions
Hybrid lashes are our most popular lash service, and for good reason! Clients enjoy a “wispy” and textured look that is fuller than classic and less dramatic than volume lashes. Basically, it’s the “best of both worlds” lashes!
Volume Lash Extensions
Dense, dark, and fluffy, these lashes are for those who are wanting the dramatic look. Keep in mind at Tami’s Salon and Spa, we offer Volume lashes that are dramatic and full without your eyes looking or feeling weighed down by a ton of lashes.
Maintenance
Lash extensions last 2-3 weeks before requiring a lash fill. Fills are necessary because as our natural lashes fall out, which is completely normal and natural, so do the extensions. When we fill them, we fill the gaps that were left by the lashes falling out. When you get done with your lash appointment, it’s a great idea to schedule your fill so you can stay on a consistent schedule. Staying on the consistent schedule can also help your retention!
Aftercare
To maximize retention and keep your natural lashes healthy, proper aftercare is a non-negotiable.
- The Do’s: Gently clean your lashes daily with an oil-free cleanser (we have great options) to remove the oil and debris from your lashes. Gently brush them morning and night with a clean spoolie to keep them fluffy and neat, and finally, try your best to sleep on your back or side, and consider a satin pillowcase to minimize friction.
- The Don’ts: Don’t get your lashes wet or expose them to steam for the first 24-48 hours after your appointment. Don’t use any oil-based makeup removers, cleansers, or creams near your eyes. This is because the oil will break down the adhesive. Finally, don’t pick, rub, or pull at your lashes. You want them to shed naturally with your growth cycle.
Lash Lifts and Tints
Lash Lifts and Tints are perfect for when you love your natural lashes but want them to have a permanent curl and color that lasts for weeks! Lash lifts and tints are actually two separate things that can be done on their own or together, depending on your desired result.
Lash Lifts
During a lash lift appointment, your Esthetician uses a gentle solution to redirect your lashes and curl them up from the base, giving them an open, “awake” look without the need for a lash curler. Clients who have straight or short lashes enjoy lash lifts because it helps their natural lashes look longer! No need for a lash curler here!
Lash Tints
During a lash tint appointment, your Esthetician uses a safe, dark tint to darken your lashes from root to tip! This can be really impactful for clients with lighter lashes! At Tami’s Salon and Spa, we don’t only do black tint, we have a variety of tints to help you achieve the most natural look possible!
Put Them Together
The real magic happens when we combine the Lift and Tint together. Your lashes will appear darker and longer, and the best part is, they last up to 6-8 weeks until you need to come back in and get them redone!
Maintenance
Maintenance on Lash Lifts and Tints are easy peasy! Just come in for appointments every 6-8 weeks and you’re set!
Aftercare
If you love your low-maintenance lifestyle, or you’re on a budget, lash lifts and tints are definitely for you! You can swim, go to hot yoga, and go about your life! You can even apply mascara without it affecting your results! We just recommend avoiding water and steam, and skipping oil based products for the first 24 hours. After that, you’re free to go about your normal routine!
