The OG: Regular Polish

During our regular polish manicure, one of our skilled nail technicians will shape your nails and care for your cuticles. Then they will apply a base coat, 2-3 coats of color, and finish with a top coat. Typically this process is less than an hour. Keep in mind the polish air dries, so we recommend being careful with your nails for the first 24 hours to reduce smudging.
Who It’s For
- Best for: Anyone needing a temporary color for an event, those on a budget, or people who love to switch up their color weekly.
- Durability: Typically lasts a week or less, depending on your daily activities. If you spend a lot of time outside or work with your hands a lot, including typing, the lifespan of your manicure might be shorter.
- Considerations: It requires drying time and is more prone to chipping compared to other options. It’s not designed for adding length or strength to your natural nails, and we don’t recommend nail art with this type.
The Popular Go-To: Gel Polish
Gel polish is such a popular go to, and for good reason! It delivers a great finish that looks freshly applied for weeks. Our gel polish manicures are the ideal choice for anyone with a busy lifestyle who needs a quick and easy manicure that can keep up.
What to Expect
The application process is similar to a regular polish manicure with an added step. Each coat that is applied to your nail, whether it’s base, color, or top, is cured under an LED light. This is because when we cure the coats, it instantly hardens the polish. What this means for you is zero drying time! No more being careful to grab your card or keys from your pocket so you don’t smudge your nails!
Who It’s For
- Best for: This is a great option for those who want a long-lasting, chip-free manicure. If you’re going on vacation, have a busy work week, need a refresh for school, or if you just want flawless nails!
- Durability: Typically lasts 2-3 weeks, depending on your daily activities. Gel polish adds a thin layer of protection to your nails, so it’s harder to chip and break.
- Considerations: Unlike regular polish, removal involves soaking your nails in acetone. We offer these services at Tami’s Salon and Spa in Rexburg if you’re interested and want to make sure it’s done correctly. You can also add a bit of nail art to gel polish for a fun look!

The Strengthener: Fiber Gel
Commonly called a structured manicure, our Fiber Gel Manicure is a great option for those who are looking to strengthen and grow their natural nails and have strong support as well. Fiber Gel contains Keratin, which is a protein that helps strengthen your natural nail. You’ll be surprised at how strong and long your nails get!
What to Expect
The application process is similar to a gel polish manicure. After the nail shaping and cuticle care we’ll start adding the coats of Fiber Gel. We can have them thin or thick, depending on your preference. Each layer of the Fiber Gel is cured under the LED light, then we put gel polish on top of it. We love adding our hand painted nail art to bring your dreams to life, too!
Who It’s For
- Best for: Anyone wanting to add extra strength to their natural nails and want to grow their natural nails out!
- Durability: Typically lasts 3-4 weeks, and chipping isn’t super common.
- Considerations: We typically do not offer extensions or tips with this service. If you want to remove them, it’s really important you come back in so we can help you safely remove the product! When you’re ready for your fill or reapplication, go ahead and book a Fiber Gel Fill!
The Ultimate Transformation: Hard Gel Full Set
For those who love having long nails and want the nail extension, you’ll definitely want the Hard Gel Full Set. Hard gel is durable, versatile and can completely transform your nails. We love seeing what we can create using the latest nail trends and customizing them to each client!
What to Expect
After the expert nail care, a Nail Technician will first fit or apply a nail tip or form to extend your natural nail. Then they will build the extension and shape using hard gel, curing each later under an LED lamp. Once hardened, they will file and buff the gel to create your desired shape. It’s perfect for those wanting elegant almond, sharp stilettos, or precise square nails.
Who It’s For
- Best for: Anyone wanting to add extra length to their nails. It’s the strongest and most durable option available, making it great for people who are tough on their hands.
- Durability: Typically lasts 3-4 weeks before you’ll need a fill. Chipping isn’t common.
- Considerations: This is time consuming, and totally worth it! Keep in mind hard gel is non-porous and cannot be soaked off with acetone; it must be filed off by a professional. When you’re ready for your fill, you’ll want to book a Hard Gel Fill!
