So you’re going to your first pedicure appointment, how exciting! You can expect to relax, unwind, and have a great time! Sometimes, when we prepare for a new experience, we tend to stress out over the details like what to wear to your appointment, what can you expect, and how to get the most out of your pedicure!
Women, we would suggest avoiding wearing skirts or dresses. You want to be able to relax, not stress about if your nail tech can see up your skirt. Shorts are great to wear if the weather permits. If it’s too chilly or cold, just wear pants you can easily and comfortably roll up to your knee!
Footwear may be a little tricky, depending on your polish choice and the weather. Never fear! In the summer, sandals are a fantastic option, especially ones you can slip on easily. Sandals are great for regular polish or gel polish! For winter or chilly days where sandals are not an option, we highly suggest opting for gel polish instead of regular polish to prevent the polish smudging in your shoes and socks. No matter your footwear choice, just keep in mind regular polish takes 24 hours to fully dry and cure, whereas gel polish cures at your appointment. Whatever your footwear, we hope you enjoy your pedicure!
At Tami’s Salon and Spa, we do two different types of pedicures. For any of our pedicures, you’ll need to choose regular polish or gel polish at the time of booking your appointment so we have plenty of time to give you the service you’re wanting. We’ll have you come in and sit in one of our pedicure massage chairs and pick the color of polish you would like from our swatches. Then, we’ll start the pedicure!
If you’re getting gel polish, we’ll do your nail care and polish first! After that, we have you put your feet in our warm pedicure bowls with a foot soak and foot scrub! With our Express Pedicure, you get to choose between having your calluses worked on or getting a relaxing foot massage. If you choose our Spa Pedicure, you get your calluses worked on AND your relaxing foot massage is upgraded to a hot stone foot massage!
Swimming is a great way to cool off in the summer and keep your body healthy! Unfortunately, swimmers’ hair isn’t the best, especially if you have bleached or colored hair. Getting a clarifier or pre-tox spray is a great way to keep your hair healthy if you’re an avid swimmer! We have fantastic options in the salon as well, so be sure to ask about them next time you’re in!
Pedicures are great for any occasion and any season. We hope to see you soon so we can pamper you, and hope we helped you feel more prepared for your appointment!
